Hill County’s history spans generations of people, communities, businesses, events and changing ways of life. This page brings together oral histories, interviews, archival footage and other video resources that help preserve and share those stories. The museum will continue developing additional oral history and video projects to document the people and experiences that have shaped Hill County.

Mary Helen Dodson introduces her book, The Architecture of Wesley Clark Dodson. Wesley Clark Dodson (1829–1914) was a leading Texas architect during the Reconstruction era, best known for designing county courthouses and jails during the state’s “golden age of courthouse construction.
